First Aid Series: Endeavour reconceptualizes the Band-Aid as both therapeutic device and symbolic gesture. By binding culturally resonant objects—Olympic shot puts, bowling balls, boomerangs—and encasing them in polished encaustic wax, the artist constructs contemporary reliquaries that mediate themes of trauma, resilience, and cultural memory.
Exhibited at the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre (2025), the series engages discourses on preservation, embodiment, and care, positioning the Band-Aid as a material site of both vulnerability and restoration. Endeavour extends Inouye’s broader inquiry—evident in works such as Colour Blind and Guilty Conscience—into the ways material culture archives and reframes collective and personal histories.
