About

Multidisciplinary artist, designer, and creative director with over 35 years of experience Yukio Inouye’s work blends modernist design through the contemplative philosophies of Buddhism, Vedanta, and Tantra—creating pieces that serve as points of inquiry as meditations on presence and form.

A graduate of Emily Carr College of Art + Design, Inouye has co-founded several design and sculptural studios and led a yoga and meditation community on Vancouver’s North Shore for over a decade. These experiences inform his practice, where material, process, and intention come together in works that are both finely crafted and mindfully resonant.

Inouye’s current work invites stillness and reflection—uniting skilled craftsmanship with a deep exploration of the human experience and the subtle beauty of the everyday.
